A pinch and a punch for the first of the month and I’m kicking it off with my July Instagram RoundUp which is basically filled with reflections of our first month living in the UK since returning from South Africa.

It’s been a great month, the girls have settled really well, and we are currently enjoying our summer holiday break. Week one has been good, just five more to go. Wish me luck! For now, let’s see which were the most liked pictures in my July Instagram Roundup.

Me and My Buff

Rather embarrassingly, my face made the top 5 this time. I was showing off my personalised buff that I had been given by one of my besties before leaving SA. She had my blog logo printed on it in gold lettering, and I just love it. It was also me showing off what can be done with my appearance when my husbands takes the girls out for a morning and I don’t have to do anything but get myself ready.

Unexpected Umbrellas

One of my favourite pictures from the month was this one that I took in York last week. We had to go into town to the bank, and unbeknown to me the York Fringe Festival was on. The streets were heaving and the atmosphere was so much fun. When I saw these decorative umbrellas I just knew it was going to be Instagram gold! lol – Yes, once a blogger, everything you see is potential blog material!

Proud Mama

These two little girls did so well at adjusting to their new school, way of life, and just generally being so brave and willing to forge ahead with this new life I have forced them into. Just look how confidently they walk together to school. I most certainly am a proud mum of two little girls.

Hopes and Dreams

I’m not sure if it’s the wine, or the notebook, but this picture got a lot more likes than I expected. Or it could be the topic of self-care which is such an important one. We often get so caught up running around our families that we forget to look after ourselves. We all need to make time to take care of us too.

Sisters

These two had a great day out on our first day-trip out exploring Yorkshire. It was a trip we’d planned when we still in SA, and it was to celebrate my eldest daughter’s 7th birthday. I can’t believe she is 7 years old! Madness! Anyway, we took them to Bolton Abbey and then on to an ice-cream parlour after. The girls loved Bolton Abbey. I hope we get time to go back again soon, but I do have a whole bucket list of other things we also want to do over the summer holidays.
