We Survived A Week Without TV!

Last week we had to claim for a new TV from our Insurance Company. The process included them coming to take away the old TV for a damage assessment. That was on Thursday. We got the go-ahead for a new TV yesterday as they deemed the old one irreparable. So basically we had a week without TV. Here’s what happened …  Continue reading “We Survived A Week Without TV!”

How To Embrace The School Holidays

We are halfway through week one of the three week school holidays here in South Africa. The fact that we’re that far in and I’m only getting around to publishing this post now is the exact point of this post.

Let’s be honest here, those of us who are Stay-At-Home-Moms, love the school term. As tough as the morning routine is to get them up, get them fed, get them dressed and get them to school on time, without someone crying, is a challenge, but we do it because we know that on the other side of the mountain is our ‘reward’ – we get ‘time’.  Continue reading “How To Embrace The School Holidays”

How I Prepared To Go Out!

Yesterday my husband needed me by his side. He had to attend a work meeting, which was followed by a social where the wives were included.

For us to attend a function where the girls can’t come with takes HUGE planning and preparation. We all have one … what's yours?

After days and days of sick kids, we sat down to watch a movie yesterday afternoon and to just chill. My eldest picked the movie and I thought to myself, am I really upset about having to watch this movie … Again? No.

Hands down , my favorite animated movie is ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2’. Don’t get me wrong, 1 is good, but 2 is better! And not just because I enjoy the story, but the picture, visuals and score are amazing. It really is entertaining and fantastic to watch!

How To Train Your Dragon 2 Trailer

So, after many hours and much deliberation, MY top favorite animated movies are:

  1. How to Train Your Dragon 2, and 1
  2. Madagascar 3
  3. Frozen (obviously)
  4. Beauty & the beast
  5. Shrek
  6. Tarzan
  7. Magic Mike – oh sh*t, no. That’s mine! 😱

I’d love to know what your top animated movies are that you have to watch with your kids.
