Goodbye For Now | Making Moves

It’s time to face the facts and say goodbye. After planning our move to the UK for what feels like forever but it’s really only been about four months, I finally feel like things are coming together.

With 11 days until we get on the plane, life is crazy hectic.

I feel like I am neglecting my blog, but the reality is that I just don’t have the time or the energy to sit and write a proper blog post.

I Was There To Say Goodbye

I spent the last two weeks before the long Easter weekend back in my hometown of Kadoma, in Zimbabwe. It was a very bittersweet trip. Not only was I going to just go and be with my family, but I was also on a mission. A mission to tie up loose ends, to settle unsettled affairs and to sell stuff we had left behind when we moved from Zimbabwe to South Africa. I was there to say goodbye.

For those of you who have just stumbled upon my blog, we are in the process of relocation from South Africa back to the UK. We are Africans by birth, but spent over 10 years in the UK which is where we met. After we married we moved back to Africa, but now it’s time to say goodbye again. And it’s breaking my heart. Essential Personal Documentation

Living in South Africa, or anywhere really, having your family’s paperwork in order at all times, is essential! There are some essential personal documentation that you want to ensure are always in your possession and current!

Why?

Well, simply, you never know what you will need until you need it. You don’t want to be caught out in the situation where you need something urgently and then it takes Home Affairs MONTHS (or years) to get you the one piece of paper you require? Holidays have been ruined and cancelled, huge amounts of money have been forfeited, and family functions devastated because people book their holidays in advance without checking to make sure they have all the required paperwork.
