My #Instaweek Round Up

Welcome to my weekly round up where I use the top 5 most popular pictures from my Instagram from the previous week to review what I have been up to.

No. 5 – This is my yummy cappuccino that I had yesterday. We had to go to Bloemfontein and then had a few hours to kill so I took the girls to Pretty Gardens – such an awesome place. Whilst sitting at the Wimpy watching the girls play in the playground, I couldn’t resist a cappuccino, which I always have with cream but never with sugar! Continue reading “My #Instaweek Round Up”

How to Repair Doll's Hair

My girls can be quite rough with their toys. Majority of their dolls are stripped naked within hours of them being purchased and they then proceed to brush the doll’s hair until it fluffs out and knots.

I decided to try to ‘help’ restore these previous fashionistas to their former glory by attempting to repair their hair … think salon experience, but for dolls.  Continue reading “How to Repair Doll's Hair”

The Great Wash of 2016

No, not for me, or for the girls, but for the dollys, Barbies, Tinkerbells and all their  friends.

The younger child and I, mostly I, spent time cleaning out the toy boxes this morning. For the record – kids are gross!
We have a whole crate of dollys that are all in serious need of a wash, make-over (most were naked), and a well-deserved trip to the hairdresser. Also included in the “Great Wash of 2016” were all the various Tea Cup & kitchen equipment sets. I’m seriously considering supplying family with Alistair of things NOT to buy the girls for the next 12 months at least. On it would be:

  • Books – see yesterday’s post.
  • Barbie Dolls
  • Colouring books
  • Tea Sets
  • Puzzles

They really are so spoilt!

I know I saw a ‘how to do it’ instruction video showing the correct way to wash a dolls hair but for the life of me, I can’t find it. If anyone has any tips on this, please share. It was something about using fabric softener.

Anyway, the wash has been a long time coming, poor chicks. I almost feel a sense of cleanliness myself.
